Comparison of the Angel de la Independencia and Cristo Redentor.

The Angel de la independencia is a monument located in Mexico City which refers to the independence of the country.  The Cristo Redentor is a monument that refers to the religion that colonized Brazil. The Cristo Redentor is the most important monument in Brazil, like the Angel de la Independencia in Mexico, thus becoming the most important tourist attraction in their country. The Angel de la Independencia is as beautiful as the Cristo Redentor, both with an impressive structure where the Angel de la Independencia adopts a neoclassical style composed of a stepped pedestal continuing with a column and a gold statue at the top, while the Cristo Redentor belongs to the art deco style built in Brazil except for the hands and head which were molded in Paris.

However, there are some differences such as. The Angel de la Independencia is taller than Cristo Redentor having a height of 49.5 meters while Cristo Redentor is 49 meters high. The Angel de la Independencia is older than Cristo Redentor because it was inaugurated in 1910 by President Porfirio Diaz, while Cristo Redentor was inaugurated in 1931 and named a wonder of the world in 2007. I can conclude that both are very beautiful monuments which we can visit and learn about their history and culture.
